What was the sound heard all over Bangalore today afternoon?
On Wednesday at around 1:30pm there was a loud explosive boom heard all over Bangalore, some residents even felt tremours and windows shaking for over 5 minutes.
Although, Bangalore police commissioner Baskar Rao has said that there is no damage detected in the city.
Origin:
As per many reports and speculations, this was the sound of the sonic boom created by a Dassault Mirage 2000 fighter jet during testing. As we all know that there is a HAL branch located in Bangalore which is used for testing aircraft and the training of new pilots of the IAF, so, we also have high possibilities that the aircraft which was used in the test had taken-off from there. As well as that we also have another air force station, which is the Yelahanka Air Force Station although it's main role is to train pilots, therefore, there is a low chance that the jet had taken-off from there. However a HAL spokesperson said "We don't know either. It has nothing to do with HAL aircraft,". The origin of the boom hasn't been confirmed yet.

What is a sonic boom?
What's a sonic boom? A sonic boom a loud explosive noise which is caused by the shock waves from an aircraft or any object traveling faster than the speed of sound, it also sounds like a huge explosion due to which many people misunderstood it as a bomb that had been dropped over the city.
Investigation:
Bangalore police commissioner Baskar Rao has said that there is no damage detected in the city, and there was no call to the police regarding it, they have reached out to the Airforce to verify whether it was a flying object. The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Centre (KSNDMC) has also confirmed that it wasn't an earthquake as many speculate, and even if it would have been an earthquake it would have covered a large area and not a restricted area. The investigation of the mysterious boom is currently going on.
There is nothing to worry about. We think that we should not speculate, instead,
we should wait for the confirmation and the official declaration from the Air force or any other organization.
What do you think it was? Feel free to comment it down below
Till then stay home, stay safe.

The Pentium Processor
The Pentium Processor The Pentium is a widely-used pc microprocessor from the Intel Corporation. ReplyDeleteI think that the government is hidding something
ReplyDeleteWell this could be a aircraft because these days there is less noise and less traffic even a dog's bark sound alot louder these days therefore, even a aircraft sounds like a huge boom.
ReplyDeleteAccording to me it is unlikely that a sonic boom happened as due to many regulation supersonic aircraft are not allowed to fly very close or in cities
